Softball tournament planned to benefit charities supported by Don Harman Memorial Foundation

The family of FOX4 meteorologist Don Harman, who committed suicide in November, is hosting a slowpitch, co-ed softball tournament to benefit the foundation established after his death, FOX4 reports.

Harman was a regular on the charity softball tournament, and Don Harman Memorial Summer Slam Softball Tournament, held Saturday July 28, will benefit several charities he supported: Love Fund, Camps for Kids, Amethyst Place, the American Lung Association, and Solace House.

The Don Harman Memorial Summer Slam will be a men’s D/E USSSA sanctioned and co-ed, slow-pitch softball tournament. It will be held Saturday, July 28 at Blue Valley Sports Complex, located at 137th and Switzer in Overland Park, Kan.

Team entry fee is $200 with a three-game guarantee. Only full teams may enter. Individuals will not be paired with teams. First place prize is $500. Space is limited to the first 50 teams, and they’re filling up fast. Hurry and register!!!
