Lawrence-based closed-captioning company apologizes to Zooey Deschanel for mixup

Zooey Deschanel was not wanted in connection to the Boston terror plot. Just to be clear on that.

But millions of people have seen a screenshot suggesting otherwise, after a FOX affiliate aired the erroneous text.

Just to be clear that is not Zooey Deschanel in the photo. And Lawrence-based Caption Solutions, the company that employed the ham-fingered transcription artist who mixed up the actress with Dzokhar Tsarnaev, one of two people suspected of carrying out the Boston attack, is apologizing for the mixup.

According to the AP, Kala J. Patterson said the company deeply regrets the incident. I can’t find the full statement, but if I do, I’ll post it.
