It provided data for the top 10 searches made in Kansas City, Kan.

Here we go:

1) Paul Walker: The Fast and Furious actor died in a fiery car crash earlier this month.

2) Kevin Ware injury: The Louisville guard’s horrific leg injury made stomachs turn.

3) NCAA basketball tournament: KC loves its hoops.

4) Boston Marathon explosion: The April attack renewed fears of terrorism (NYT KC correspondent John Eligon ran the race – the wrote about the bombing)

5) Government shutdown: A political move that affected millions of Americans.

6) Cory Monteith: The Glee star died from a drug overdose.

7) Google Fiber: The ultra-high-speed Internet still isn’t available in some parts of KC.

8) KC Chiefs: Only 8th?

9) Duck Dynasty: No comment.

10) North Korea: Kim Jong Un’s recent execution of his uncle and courting of American weirdo/North Korean basketball coach Dennis Rodman, as well as the hermit nation’s detention of an elderly American, is captivating.
